12 Royal County Down

Royal County Down

One of two courses in Northern Ireland that could be a future venue for the British Open.

There can be few more beautiful places to play this game than here when the sun shines down onto the Mountains of Mourne and the Irish Sea. Legend has it that Old Tom Morris was asked to layout the course for a cost not exceeding £4. It has held the British Amateur Championship and the Curtis Cup. Accuracy and a sure touch are all essential on this course.
